Story and Details

Colloquially known amongst the watch community as the "Hulk" this particular Submariner, with its bold color and bulky size, lives up to its superhero namesake. The reference 116610LV debuted in 2010 and marked an evolution for the Submariner. Most-notably the case size got beefier and bezel switched from using an aluminum insert to ceramic technology. Of course the metamorphosis from the "Kermit" version gave it an all green appearance, including the dial. Over its 10 year lifespan, this is the only ad I've come across showing the "Hulk", although it's been published in several magazines, even appearing on a back cover and as a 2-page spread. I like that it's from 2010, which perfectly coordinates with the release. And the imagery perfectly captures the watch's new look and feel.

    First class product and customer service

    The framed ad is impressively done. J highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of Rolex and/or vintage advertising. Just an overall unique and eye catching piece of history.     Love this ad and amazing work by Nick!

    I first connected with Nick in June 2020. We built a great friendship based off of a mutual love of watches, Basquiat and great ads. I have 4 ads of his framed and hanging in my home office and they make me so happy.
